Krishi Shayak is an automated crop surveillance and Monitoring Device. It is a scaled-down handheld prototype that majorly focuses on detecting the internal and external health of plants to reduce the risk of exposure to diseases, attack of pests which eventually leads to lower risks of yield loss. Advanced technologies like remote sensing and artificial intelligence can help in early detection of plant disease. Periodic surveillance of crop is done with the help of widely sampled data.
The required data is gathered using a surveillance mechanism and is further analysed using NDVI and disease detection Mask R-CNN methodology. This module consists of a camera module along with temperature, humidity and air quality sensor which provides the raw data to be precise for analysis. The disease detection and remote sensing methods are achieved using image analysis of the resultant data. Remote sensing indices are used to check whether there are any internal changes occurring in the plant based upon which the agrarians get early information about the condition of crop and take necessary actions to prevent yield loss . The vision is to prop in minimising yield losses due to undetected factory conditions and behavioural changes.
